I thought this was an IKEA table but I can't find it anywhere. We hade the Poang chairs with the foot stool and this is the only thing that survived my boys. It was a bit stale so I did a make over.
I gave it a sanding, cleaned and taped off the under side and the stripe. I like the contrast of wood peaking out from underneath. I gave it a nice coat of yellow spray paint and sealed it with spray primer. And easy update for a table with great lines and still sturdy. It's well made I can't say the same thing about the chairs.
These poor chairs came to me flat. They had literally fallen apart. After some major TLC: They were glue and screwed at all points and needed new dowels across the bottom. Even after the remake I felt they needed something more. Because they were so straight I used lag bolts to attach across the middle to make a bench. Then I painted them white with a clean stripe. Sanded, cleaned, primed and Painted white. And I have new seating in the yard.
While working in a furniture store I saw many people wanted to refinish their own furniture. They also wanted help to make the best choices.
